Alaric Albertsson (Iowa) is the author of several books on magic and spirituality, including Travels Through Middle Earth, A Handbook of Saxon Sorcery and Magic, and To Walk a Pagan Path. Albertsson first embraced polytheism in the summer of 1971. At that time he was introduced to the folk tradition of spell casting and divination with playing cards.
